The Toronto Blue Jays have signed OF Curtis Granderson to a one year, $5 million deal.
Granderson was so close to a World Series ring, and you\’d think he\’d try to go for his first this year, but well, no (I\’m a Yankees fan). The Blue Jays, well, aren\’t the team I\’d choose if I would sign with if I was going for a ring.
For the Blue Jays, they get a much needed outfielder, with Jose Bautista in free agency, and get it cheap, at just $5 million.
Granderson, 36, hit .212, with 26 homers, 64 RBIs and six steals in 527 Plate Appearances for the New York Mets and Los Angeles Dodgers in 2017. In his MLB career for the Mets, Dodgers, New York Yankees and Detroit Tigers, Granderson has a .252 batting average, 319 homers, 865 RBIs plus 151 stolen bases in 7540 Plate Appearances.
