NHL trade review: Thompson to Brewers

The Milwaukee Brewers have acquired RHP Jake Thompson from the Philadelphia Phillies in exchange for cash considerations.

For the Brewers, Thompson is your starter/reliever that is always bouncing from the majors and AAA. This year, Thompson has only been a reliever, and has struggled. But, he can be a decent 5th starter when given the chance. His 3.88 ERA last year when he had eight starts shows that. They only give up cash, so it can\’t go wrong for them.

Thompson, 24, has a 4.96 ERA, 1.53 WHIP and 14 strikeouts in 16.1 innings this season. In his MLB career, all for Philly, Thompson has a 4.87 ERA, a 1.53 WHIP and 81 strikeouts in 116.1 innings.
