      It is interesting to see how rebuilding players acquired their players. Whether they are high draft picks, or were acquired for their team\’s former stars. The White Sox have players of both categories. This is how they were built.

Welington Castillo
Castillo signed a two year deal with Chicago on December 1st, 2017.
James McCann
McCann signed as a free agent in December 2018.

      Infielders
Jose Abreu
Abreu signed as an amateur free agent in October 2013.
Yoan Moncada
In December 2016, the White Sox acquired Moncada from the Red Sox, along with Michael Kopech, Victor Diaz and Luis Alexander Basabe for Chris Sale.
Tim Anderson
Anderson was drafted in the first round (17th overall) in 2013.
Yolmer Sanchez
Sanchez was signed as an amateur free agent in 2009.
Yonder Alonso
Alonso was acquired in December from the Indians for Alex Call.
Jose Rondon
Rondon was purchased from the Padres in January 2018.

Perez was drafted in the 33rd round of the 2008 draft.
Kevin Plawecki
In Janaury, the Indians acquired Plawecki from the Mets for Walker Lockett and Sam Haggerty.

Carlos Santana
Though Santana was an Indian from 2010-2017, the team re-acquired him in December in a three team trade. The Indians acquired Santana, Jake Bauers and cash, and gave up Edwin Encarnacion, Yandy Diaz and Cole Sulser.
Jose Ramirez
Ramirez signed as an amateur free agent in November 2009.
Brad Miller
Miller signed with the Indians in late March.
Max Moroff
Moroff was acquired in November along with Jordan Luplow from Pittsburgh for Erik Gonzalez, Dante Mendoza and Tahnaj Thomas.
Eric Stamets
Stamets was acquired from the Angels in July 2015 for David Murphy.
Hanley Ramirez
Ramirez signed a minor league deal in February.

Jordan Luplow
Luplow was acquired in November 2018 from the Pirates with Max Moroff for Tahnaj Thomas, Erik Gonzalez and Dante Mendoza.

Bauers was part of a December three team trade, where the Indians acquired Bauers, Carlos Santana and cash, giving up Edwin Encarnacion, Yandy Diaz and Cole Sulser.
Greg Allen
Allen was drafted in the 6th round in 2014.

On July 31st, the Indians acquired Martin and Kyle Dowdy from the Tigers for Willi Castro.

Naquin was drafted in the first round (15th overall) in 2012.

Kluber was acquired in July 2010 in a three team deal with the Cardinals and Padres. The Indians acquired Kluber, and traded Jake Westbrook.
Trevor Bauer
Bauer was acquired in December 2012 from the Diamondbacks. The Indians acquired Bauer, Matt Albers, Bryan Shaw and Drew Stubbs. They gave up Shin-Soo Choo, Jason Donald, Lars Anderson and Tony Sipp.
Carlos Carrasco
Carrasco was acquired at the 2009 trade deadline from the Phillies with Jason Donald, Lou Marson and Jason Knapp for Cliff Lee and Ben Francisco.
Mike Clevinger
In August 2014, the Indians acquired Clevinger from the Angels for Vinnie Pestano.
Shane Bieber

Daniel Robertson
In January 2015, Robertson was acquired from the A\’s along with John Jaso, Boog Powell and cash. The team gave up Yunel Escobar and Ben Zobrist.
Christian Arroyo
Arroyo was acquired in December 2017 from the Giants with Denard Span, Stephen Woods and Matt Krook for Evan Longoria.
